Benefits of Myopractic

Myopractic Bowen Therapy is often the turning point.
The wholistic approach of Myopractic is very valuable in treating sporting injuries or general accidents. It assists a wide range of muscle and skeletal disorders, and can also promote healing of many imbalances of the body’s internal systems.
Myopractic makes postural distortions an important priority in its approach. Therefore much of its work goes to the very source of the problem.

The following are just a few of the bodily disorders that have responded well to Myopractic.

• Back and neck injuries
• Shoulder, arm, hip and leg injuries
• Fatigue
• Nervous stress
• Digestive disorders
• Menstrual disorders
• Postural imbalances

This therapy can be used on the tough, big and strong. Because no bone manipulation is included Myopractic Bowen Therapy is safe and gentle to use on newborn babies, the frail and elderly. The majority of our aches and pains stem from distorted posture arising from dysfunctional body parts, and that, in turn forces the body to make a lot of ill-fated adjustments which exacerbates the problem

Over time this can lead to constant pain which may fail to respond to conventional treatment or medicine.
Many people say they have lower backache or a troublesome shoulder that makes life a misery.
They know their posture is not as good as it should be but don’t know what to do about it.
Sitting at a computer desk has created a specific postural disturbance which gives rise to a variety of spinal conditions.
Complaints include headaches, neck / shoulder pain, mid back and even lower back pain.
Postural distortions such as Dowagers hump, kyphosis and even lordosis may be aggravated or created by repetitive computer use.

All accidents or the many strains and stresses of modern day living can induce muscle contraction, which in turn distorts posture and creates misalignment of bony structures.

Research shows that muscles may develop lesions in the fibres that create contraction of the whole muscle.
These lesions can be successfully treated with Myopractic Bowen Therapy.

What is Myopractic?

A revolutionary form of body work, Myopractic focuses on muscles and the part they play in backache, neck pain, posture and many other bodily conditions.

It is an outstanding series of gentle, yet firm muscle moves that correct many body disorders. It improves the body’s vital balance and posture by moving on soft tissues such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. It empowers the body’s natural healing forces, allowing a free flow of energy around the spine, extremities and body organs.

No extreme force is used, so any pain is minimised. Instead you will feel the practitioner’s fingers and thumbs gently moving muscles and other soft tissues back into their correct state. The average treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, although the first treatment will take longer because of the need for a thorough assessment of your condition.

You may feel a release taking place immediately, however the full effect of the treatment will take a few days to work. A couple of follow up treatments is usually all that is needed to stabilise the initial corrections, although long standing postural defects will require a few more visits.

After your Myopractic Visit

1. Immediately following your visit it is important not to be sitting in a car, bus or train for a long distance. You should break your journey, or walk around at least hourly
2. During the first two days after your treatment the body is going through a re-alignment process. Symptoms can sometimes increase during this time, while the inflammation is shifting. It is important to ‘ride’ this out until the body has completed the change. Do not use muscle liniments, heat or hot baths. Avoid icepacks. Use cold packs if necessary to ease the pain.
3. No massage, trigger point therapy, shiatsu or other muscle traumatising treatment should be undertaken while you are having your course of Myopractic. Ib fact, for best results it is better not to combine it with any other form of manipulative therapy.
Drink 2 litres of water per day.
Whether you have a sporting injury, suffer from aching muscles or joints, nervous stress, have some internal organ imbalance or just don’t feel quite right then you need to ………
